William "Bill" Stephens Geen died April 12, 2007 at Rim Hospice, Payson, Arizona. He was 68.
Dr. Geen is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Jonnie, his daughters Christa and husband David Roderick of Hopland, Calif., Kellie and husband Doug Johnson of Stockton, Calif. and granddaughters Grace, Gretchen and Elka Roderick and Jenna Johnson, as well as his beloved dogs, Cody, Dash, Nitro and Shooter. He is preceded in death by his brother Bobby, mother Mildred and father Robert.
Born May 5, 1938 to Dr. Robert S. Geen and Mildred Stephens Geen, he and his brother grew up in Oakland, Calif. He graduated from Oakland Technical High School in 1956. He studied at the University of Oregon and at UC Berkeley, before deciding on a career in dentistry and graduating from The College of Physicians and Surgeons (UOP), San Francisco, in 1963. He entered the Air Force before settling in the Bay Area to practice dentistry and raise his family. He retired in 1996 and moved to Payson in 1997.
