Naomi Harris died April 16, 2007. She was born Nov. 19, 1934 in Shelley, Idaho to Robert and Theoma Barker. Her parents moved to Arizona when she was just a baby.
She graduated from West High School in 1953. In February 1954, she met the love of her life, Elwood (Woody) Harris and they married four months later. Naomi and Woody returned to Idaho after their marriage, where they had two of their four children. They moved back to Phoenix in 1959 and remained there until 1997, when they moved to Payson.
Mrs. Harris was a homemaker for most of her married life. She most recently was volunteering at Payson Regional Medical Center in the Gift Shop and the Almost New Shop.
She is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Woody; her sister Verna Sims of Phoenix; her four children, Bob (Mia) of Yuma, Ariz., Blaine (Amy) of Glendale, Ariz., Lindsay Morgan (Grace Keckeisen) of Mesa, Ariz., and Alice (Tim) DeWitt of Tucson, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandson, with another due in July.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 913 S. Ponderosa, Payson. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral beginning at 1 p.m. She will be buried in Grace, Idaho on Monday.
