The Rim Country Mall, home to Sears, Stage and the Payson Athletic Club, has been purchased by Larsen Baker, LLC, on behalf of Payson Development Associates, LLC.
Larsen Baker, a commercial real estate brokerage, development and management firm in Tucson plans a complete facades remodel, interior renovation and expansion of the facility this summer, according to Andy Seleznov, Director of Leasing for the firm.
"We have about 3,000 square feet of space to the left of Sears available for lease," Seleznov said. "There is another 9,000 square feet to the right of Stage, plus another 11,000 square feet to the back of the building."
The plan is to give the entire front facades a nice, inviting storefront look, Seleznov said. The company is also discussing the construction of three 4,000 to 5,000-square-foot pads in the front part of the property, he said.
"We're talking with Bernie Lieder, a Rim Country architect," Seleznov said.
He said they hope the front spaces and the planned pads lease as retail space.
The back area will be converted either to offices or a warehouse area.
The new facades will be modern and attractive, Seleznov said.
Larsen Baker has owned the property for less than a month.
Payson Development Associates, LLC was incorporated Dec. 28, 2006 and approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission Jan. 5, 2007. The principals listed with the ACC are the Larsen Family Limited Partners, Donald L. Baker Exempt Trust 2 and Rosanne F. Lapan Exempt Trust. All have addresses in Tucson.
