Allen and Leone Mintz were married on April 17, 1941.
Prior to moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1941, Leone L. Johnson was a one-room, all-grade (first through eighth) schoolteacher.
Being childhood sweethearts, Allen G. Mintz asked her to become his wife. Soon after their marriage on April 17, 1941 in Chanute, Kan., they moved to Phoenix.
On May 21, 1942, they were blessed with twin daughters, Betty and Barbara.
They have also been blessed with four grandchildren: Cheryl, Lorie, Jason and Jennifer, and four great-grandchildren: Jaya, Hailey, Megan and Mikayla.
Allen worked at Rainbow Baking Company for 27.5 years and in 1977, retired to Payson, where they presently reside.
