Ah, spring -- season of youth. But, do you know that May is also Older Americans Month? The event has been observed since 1963 and the theme for this year is "Older Americans: Making Choices for a Healthier Future."

A few seniors we could celebrate this month are Ron Chesley, who was named Gila County Senior of the Year, and Eunice Heisner, who was named Pinal County Senior of the Year at the recent 32nd Annual Fair and Bazaar presented by the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens.
