The powers that be are taking another crack at Pine water issues Monday.

The Arizona Corporation Commission will have a hearing at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at 1200 W. Washington, Phoenix. The ACC will meet in its main hearing room.

The hearing is on a complaint against the Pine Water Company, in which a number of property owners are seeking to be removed from the utility's service area, in order to provide their own water.

Rim Country Water, a newly organized group of landowners in Pine and Strawberry, is urging as many people as possible to attend the hearing.

Prior to the hearing, RCW will have a preparatory meeting from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday. Aug. 5 at the Pine Cultural Center.

The purpose is to provide a current status report, present several community speakers who are involved with the issues of the K-2 well site and provide information concerning the meeting of the ACC.

More detailed information will be available at the upcoming public meetings and on the Web site, rimcountrywater.org, as it is further expanded.
