Skate contest and concert
"Day Of Reckoning 2007," a skate contest and concert will be held from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Payson Skate Park at Rumsey Park.
The featured guest skater for the evening will be David Caleb.
Also appearing will be Infairverona and Your Machine. There will be free food, a "Fear Factor" contest and prizes. The Payson Christian Ministerial Fellowship sponsors the event.

‘The Last Sin Eater' movie
From the best-selling novel by Francine Rivers, "The Last Sin Eater" is a newly released movie about a little girl's quest for redemption, a dark secret and the truth that shall set her free. Buddhist group takes break
The Payson Tibetan Buddhist Study and Meditation Group has suspended its Monday evening meetings at the Payson Center for Spiritual Awareness until Sept. 24. Please call (928) 468-1387 for additional information. We hope to see you when we resume our regular meetings at the end of September.
Beyond Limits Disability Ministry
Beyond Limits Disability Ministry, an interdenominational Christian group for adults with developmental disabilities, age 18 and older, is meeting this month at Crossroads Foursquare Church, 114 East Cedar Lane, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug 14. A delicious free dinner will be served promptly at 6 p.m., followed by a group sing-a-long and a special program by Michal Olsson. Family members, caregivers and service providers are always welcome to join us.

AWANA Clubs begin
The AWANA Clubs will begin Aug. 20 at First Baptist Church of Pine. The schedule is:
3 p.m., Sparks for children in kindergarten through second grade
6 p.m., T&T, Trek and Journey 24-7 for children in third grade through 12th grade
