Want to prove your pet's the prettiest, cutest, ugliest, oddest or most whatever you want? Then get its picture printed on a special day of your choosing in the Payson Humane Society's 2008 Pet Calendar.
Don't have a good photo? Volunteers will take a picture of your pet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Off-Leash Dog Park at Rumsey Park on North McLane Road. The photos will be taken free of charge to those who buy a space on the calendar at a cost of $20.
Forms will be available so you may choose a date and submit your pet's information. You may also purchase a calendar for $10 and pick it up at the shelter when they are ready, or if you pay for postage, the calendar will be mailed to you.
All proceeds go to the Payson Humane Society, and you will be provided with a receipt for a tax deduction.
Pups on Parade, microchips
Also during the Aug. 25 event, you will have an opportunity to meet some of the wonderful pets available for adoption. Bring your pet and introduce him to a new friend.
There will be a photo book on hand featuring all the adoptable pets at the shelter, in case you don't see what you like.
Microchips for your pets will be offered for $40, as long as they have a current license or rabies certificate.
If you already have a photo of your pet and want to reserve a spot on the calendar now, stop at the shelter, 812 S. McLane Road, or download a form online at www.paysonhumanesociety.com.
