Big Brothers Big Sisters was the beneficiary of a fund-raiser hosted by Main Street Grille on Saturday night, August 11. It was very successful and a whole lot of fun. The Grille provided the venue, the band -- THE RAVE, and split the proceeds of the food sales with Big Brothers Big Sisters. We also conducted a few raffles to generate some excitement and additional money to promote our mission, providing quality adult mentors to our local children ages 6 to 15.
On behalf of the local staff of Big Brothers Big Sisters and our advisory board, I want to thank Gerry Cruz and Tracy Sawkins at Main Street Grille for giving us the opportunity and for planning such a wonderful evening. The serving staff that evening included Ralph Smith, Tracy Wilkins, Danny Scott, Jimmy Richter, Bradley Gray and Chelsea Haught. They did a superb job!
Susanne Michaels from KRIM-FM radio served as the night's MC and did a wonderful job keeping the event going, introducing people as they came in, and handling the raffles. She also provided raffle items. Payson Regional Medical Center donated raffle items and money to Big Brothers Big Sisters. We appreciate their support, too.
Main Street Grille has been a great supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters locally. They fielded a team of bowlers for our Bowl For Kids' Sake and members of that team have signed up to become mentors. It is all about the children and providing them the needed mentoring and guidance as they grow into adulthood. All of us at Big Brothers Big Sisters thank Main Street Grille and their staff for all their ongoing support.
