Learn about ‘Life on Rusinga'

As a thank you for the community support received by the Living Waters International mission founded by Daryl and Mary Jo Oft, they are presenting a free program, "Life on Rusinga."

The program is at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 24 at The Meeting Place, 1107 S. Beeline, Suite 2.

At this community presentation there will be pictures of how life is in Kaswanga, of the mission's water implementation project, the vegetable gardens that are being grown by Living Waters and the feeding center that it is hoped is operational next year. The Ofts and Sandra Thompson-Lambert will present firsthand accounts on how people cope with life in Kaswanga, how warm and tender they are and how death lurks at every doorstep.

The program is open to all the community, however, seating is limited.
