If you haven't been bowling lately, you haven't been bowling.
To demonstrate what has changed, Rim Country Lanes is offering free bowling this Saturday.
The free bowling is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Rim Country Lanes, 1109 N Beeline Highway.
The free bowling event is part of Bowling Blastoff, a one-day extravaganza held in honor of National Bowling Week, Aug. 25 through Aug. 31.
Bowling Blastoff is designed to introduce everyone to the exciting sport of bowling and to draw the community together for an afternoon of fun.
The event will include free bowling, hot dogs, drinks, prizes and face painting.
The Payson Police Department will be at the bowling alley to showcase the DARE program and provide fingerprinting ID for children.
The Payson Fire Department will also be there with one of its fire trucks and Life Star Ambulance will be displaying an ambulance.
Bowling has so much to offer: easy and fun exercise, a great social activity, the opportunity to earn prizes and scholarship money, and competition in a non-contact sport, said a Rim Country Lanes spokesperson.
It offers a safe, family-friendly environment.
Bowling has become America's fastest-growing high school varsity sport.
