The Gila County Sheriff's Roosevelt Lake Patrol and Arizona Game and Fish Department will present a safe boating class Saturday, Sept. 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Roosevelt Substation milepost 243 on SR 188.

Topics covered include Arizona boating laws, equipment requirements, rules of the road, registration requirements, aids to navigation, trailering, anchoring and other useful information.
A $5 donation is requested per family. Many insurance companies offer a discount to boat owners who successfully complete the class.
