The Payson Main Street Merchants Guild are excited about December's First Friday Art and Antique Walk on Dec. 7.
en Mooney of Bootleg Alley Antiques & Art said "This will be the first time our event will be complemented by the holiday activities scheduled at Green Valley Park which include the lighted boat regatta and Santa's Workshop. There will be a hay wagon to shuttle people along Main Street and back and forth to the park."
ecember's event includes Vyktoria Pratt-Keating performing at Bootleg Alley Antiques and Art, the KCMA Radio remote at Down the Street Art Gallery, along with featured artists Minette Richardson and Roger Buchanan.
The KRIM Radio remote will be at Gasoline Alley and both classic and sports cars will be on display along Main Street. The Artists of the Rim Gallery is featuring artists Dick Wolfe and Glen Smith.
n addition, tours of the beautifully restored historic home that now houses Body Elegance Day Spa will be available. Community Presbyterian Church will have Christmas caroling around the piano, a soup-and-salad dinner and handcrafted items from around the world available for sale.
At Gasoline Alley, you'll find the Kiwanis Club on hand with their famous hot dogs and brats, as well as the Soroptimist Club with their delicious See's Candy.
es Schleef of Eagle Mountain Gifts said, "Most of the merchants have decorated their stores for the holidays. It's a chance to show the townsfolk what Main Street looks like when we light it up and it's also a return to our early days when people gathered on Main Street for the lighting of the town tree."
uth Overton of The Artists of the Rim Gallery added, "With the nights turning brisk, most of the stores will offer hot beverages in addition to the normal goodies they have."
