Deck the Heels

A ladies' Christmas season celebration will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 8 at First Church of the Nazarene. You are invited to come in your most desirable, extreme, fashionable high-heel shoes or any other favorite boot or decorated shoes. We will be celebrating at Karen's Kare Bears Daycare, 103 W. Roundup with a brunch. This is all at no cost. You may choose to bring a "food" to share and a Christmas gift to exchange.

Behind the Veil Puppetry

Payson's United Pentecostal Church, 700 E. Wade meets at 6 p.m., Sunday Dec. 9. The public is invited to join he congregation for a special puppet show for the young and young at heart. "Behind the Veil" Puppetry will lead this special time of worship. Props, banners, signs and puppets "playing" musical instruments will make each song come alive. For details, call Rev. Midweek Advent Services

Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church, 507 W. Wade Lane, is holding midweek Advent services again this year in preparation of the celebration of the birth of Jesus. On Wednesday, Dec. 12 and Wednesday, Dec. 19 the congregation will gather for a potluck dinner at 5 p.m. and worship at 6 p.m. The Sunday Advent services are at 10 a.m. The community is invited. Rock of Ages Advent Services

To prepare for the Blessed Christmas season, Advent services continue Wednesday, Dec. 12, and Wednesday, Dec. 19. Free soup suppers start at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall followed by Advent services at 7 p.m. A freewill offering will be taken at the soup suppers. Proceeds will go to our United States troops for needed Bibles. Everyone is welcome to attend and join. Rock of Ages is located at the corner of McLane and Airport Roads. Bake, craft and yard sale

The Rim Valley Church of God will sponsor a combined fund-raiser from 8:30 a.m. to about 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15. There will be a bake sale, craft sale, and yard sale on those two days. Some of the items for sale are a gas heater, small organ, pop and candy machines. Rented tables are available for $10 for both days, for those who would like to show and sell their own wares. For a reservation, call (928) 474-5449.

Kids' Christmas Bash

There will be a kids' Christmas bash with giveaways of X-boxes and a bike at 10 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 23 at Payson First Assembly of God, 1100 W. Lake Dr. There will be a special Christmas worship service and it's all about the kids, with Christmas music, food fun and toys for every child. Call (928) 474-2302 for more information.

Pine Christmas Eve services

The members of the First Baptist Church in Pine, 4039 N. Highway 87, invite friends and neighbors to join them for Christmas Eve services to be held Monday, Dec. 24. There will be two services, one from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a second from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Information for the Dec. 21 edition -- the last before Christmas -- must be at the Roundup office by 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 17. Information for New Year's services must be submitted by 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21.

Because of the Christmas and New Year's holidays, the Roundup will be operating with early deadlines so employees may have the holiday off to be with their families.
