Thanks For Supporting Payson Supply Line

The Payson Supply Line would like to thank everyone who bundled up and came out to enjoy the festivities at the Patriotic Christmas/A Celebration of God and Country event Saturday night in the Legacy Home Furnishings parking lot.

Your generous donations provided us with more than $1,200 and many much needed items that will help us continue our mission. Above and beyond the normal packages that we mail, your donations have assisted us in sending out many special Christmas boxes to military bases and hospitals in Iraq and Afghanistan.

These boxes contained small Christmas trees, lots of decorations, Santa hats, and many blank Christmas cards for our troops to use to send their Christmas wishes back home to their friends and loved ones. Additional Christmas boxes are being sent filled with Christmas stockings chock-full of goodies, along with many Christmas cards addressed to our troops, including the large cards signed by all of you who were at the event. These military bases and hospitals are sure to feel the love and support from the people of the Rim Country this Christmas season!

We would especially like to thank Cindy, Andy, Kathy and Farrell of KCMA radio who sponsored this event and who so generously donate air time and talent all year long to help us support the troops.

We want to thank Legacy Home Furnishings, Dan Dillon of Safeway/Starbucks, Katie Klein of Starbucks Corporate offices in Phoenix, and George Binney of General Rental Center for their donations of items used at the event.

We want to also thank the Payson Color Guard for starting off the event, Mayor Bob Edwards, Ret. Col. Art Stone, Pastor Richie, and the parents of military personnel whose children have received packages from the Payson Supply Line for their words of support.

Special thanks also to Marcy Rogers and the Payson Community Kids for their beautiful performances of Christmas songs.

Thank you all for helping us help them. May God bless you all during this Christmas season and into the New Year.
