Basketball, Dodgeball Competition Will Start In The New Year


An adult basketball bonanza will take place Feb. 16.

Men and women 18 and up are eligible to participate in three competitions -- Hot Shot, Free Throw and Three Point Shootout. Register at the Parks and Recreation office or at the site of the competition. All registrants get a T-shirt. First- and second-place winners for men's and women's divisions receive prizes. There are two divisions, 18-30 and 30 and over. Register for this program on-site Jan. 14--Feb. 16 and the fee is $15.

Dodgeball tourney

Remember how much fun you had playing dodgeball as a child? Come relive your dodgeball days by registering your team in this inaugural tournament to be held at the Payson High School gymnasium. Thanks to the National Amateur Dodgeball Association, dodgeball is now safer and more enjoyable with rubber coated foam balls and safety conscious rules.

Registration will be held Jan. 1--Feb. 8. Both men's and women's divisions will be offered as long as a minimum of four teams sign up for each division. All participants must be at least 18 years of age to play. A minimum of six, maximum of 10 players per team is required. Register by Feb. 8.
