Why do you teach? Teaching is an honorable profession. To have the opportunity to help guide our children to lead respectful, responsible, productive lives as future citizens is a challenge worthy of a lifetime career.
Personal motto / words of wisdom: When I found out my blood type was B positive, I jokingly said that would be my motto and it stuck! Words of wisdom: Be kind.
Family: Husband, Roger. daughter, Shayna. Son-in-law, Jimi. Son, Ryan. Adelaide is our golden retriever.
Pet peeve: Littering.
Favorite hobby or leisure activity: Reading, quilting and hiking.
Person in history you'd most like to meet and why: Helen Keller. She had the most amazing attitude of courage and determination to overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles in her life. She is truly an inspiration.
Why Payson? Payson is in the center of a beautiful and diverse state. We are surrounded by beautiful country. A scenic hike is never too far away.
In school, who was your favorite teacher and why? My Dad was my seventh and eighth grade teacher. He had a positive influence on everyone and he made his teaching interesting and relevant.
What was your favorite subject in school and why? I like science and math. Science and math are so much a part of our daily lives.
