Rim Country residents who want a say in the upcoming elections, but are not yet registered to vote need to get going.

To vote in the coming local elections for the mayors and councils of Payson and Star Valley, and in the Pine Strawberry Water Improvement District recall, residents must register by Feb. 11, 2008.
Jeff Loyd of the Republican National Committee of Gila County, Payson District, and other precinct committeemen will be registering voters this Saturday, Dec. 29 in front of Wal-Mart.
Residents can register for the first time, change their party, change their address, etc., at this event.
This will be a nonpartisan event and there will be no attempt made to sway anyone to any party.
"This is only to get people to register to vote because our primary is right around the corner and it is our right and responsibility as Americans to vote," Loyd said.
The town elections and the proposed recall election is March 11, 2008.
The elections for the Town of Payson, Town of Star Valley and the Water District Board will be conducted by mail-in ballot that will be mailed to voters on Feb.11, 2008.
