Mazatzal Casino's '20s and '30s theme promises to be nothing short of spectacular, said Marketing Director Carol McCauley.

"We did this last year, too, and it was a big success. People came dressed as flappers and other characters from the period," she said.

Festivities begin at 8:30 p.m. in the casino's entertainment room with a dinner of lobster and filet mignon, salad and dessert, followed by a comedy show featuring the group Comedy Dads.

The show's participants perform skits based on their newly acquired roles as fathers and the trials and tribulations accompanying parenthood.

"The comedians in the show have been featured on the Tonight Show, so I told them they should bring nothing more than a G-rated show for our Payson audience," McCauley joked.

After the comedy show, Sonoran Swing, a big band ensemble, will provide dancing music from 10 p.m until the wee hours of the morning.

At midnight, complimentary champagne will be served to toast the New Year.

McCauley said the casino will pick up and drop off anyone who wishes.

"Our shuttle service, which comes at no charge, will pick people up right from their homes and take them back at the end of the evening, all they have to do is give us a call and make arrangements," she said.
