Eagle Scout

Nathan Randau, 14, will have his Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Monday, Feb, 5, at Mount Cross Lutheran Church. It will follow Troop 354's regular Court of Honor, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Randau's ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., and refreshments will follow.

The Payson Roundup published an article about Nathan's Eagle Leadership Service Project on May 16, 2006.

Randau is the youngest in his troop to receive the rank of Eagle. Payson area Eagle Scouts, regardless of age, are encouraged to attend.

Randau received congratulatory notes from President and Mrs. Bush, Governor Napolitano, then-Congressman J.D. Hayworth (an Eagle Scout), Mayor Bob Edwards (also an Eagle Scout at a young age), Chief of Police Gordon Gartner (a Scout leader and father of three Eagles and one Life Scout) and Fire Chief Martin deMasi.

Master of ceremonies will be Payson Jewelers owner Robert Higginbotham (whose son Paul received his Eagle when he was part of Troop 354).

Presenters include dentist Alex Romberger, Scoutmaster Dan Utz and several of the troop's Scouts.
