Alexander Lamont Wilson died Jan. 17, 2007 in Payson. He was born Oct. 1, 1930 in Detroit, Mich. to John and Elizabeth Wilson.
Mr. Wilson served in the Navy during the Korean War during the years 1952-1954 aboard the USS Lake Champlain.
He married Marilyn Schenk on Nov. 18, 1952 in Michigan. They moved to Ketchikan, Alaska in 1958 with their four children.
While in Alaska, he became a journeyman wireman with the IBEW Local #1547. He was involved actively in the Alaska Local 1547 until his retirement and move to Arizona in 1985. He and his wife relocated to Deer Creek and spent 21 years there.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Marilyn Wilson of Payson; daughters, Cindy (Jim) Vreeland of Ketchikan, Alaska and Deer Creek, Elizabeth Brewer of Erie, Pa.; sons, Ray Wilson of Payson and Ted Wilson of Ketchikan, Alaska; grandchildren, David Price of Ketchikan, Alaska, Michael Brewer and Lindsey Brewer of Erie, Pa., Logan Wilson of Salem, Ore. and Hayley Garcia of Payson; five great-granddaughters; sisters, Margaret Strickland of Mesa and Patricia Nowaczewski of St. Paul, Minn.; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Wilson; and grandson, Gregory Lamont Price.
