January marked the five-year anniversary of being in our current facility. My, how time flies.
Several events are being planned throughout the year for children of all ages. A brochure is being created which will give dates, times and types of events planned. The brochure will be available mid-February.
You can pick them up at the library or go online to www.inpayson.com or www.ci.payson.az.us.
A Tea Party for little girls is planned.
Super Heroes Capture the Imagination is the theme for this year's Summer Reading Program.
"Eragon" will be the theme of the Young Adult Program this fall.
Mark your calendars for March 2, which is our annual Dr. Seuss Read Across America. It is our family reading night at the library. It's the only place a hot dog, chips, cookie and a drink are still 50 cents.
These are only four of the scheduled events. Come join the fun.
Two years ago, we conducted a customer service study on hours and services. Once again we are looking at this. The library has a survey available in the library, or online at www.inpayson.com and www.ci.payson. az.us. We value your suggestions.
Staff will be reviewing all questionnaires the end of February. Results will be available early in March.
As we continue our fund-raising efforts for the library expansion fund, "A Taste of Rim Country" will be the main event of the year. Mark your calendars for Feb. 17.
The event features a wine tasting and delectable hors d'oeuvres made by the chefs of the Rim Country. Tickets are $30 -- available at the library and the Payson Roundup. We hope you will join us in a common cause.
