The Payson Humane Society is proud to offer two spay/neuter assistance programs, in conjunction with Spay Day USA.

A rebate coupon program is offered to cat owners only and has been made available by a donation from Paws in the Park. Beginning Feb. 16, pick up a rebate coupon at the Payson Humane Society, 812 S. McLane Road. Have your cat spayed or neutered anytime before May 31, 2007. Then bring the rebate coupon and a copy of the vet bill showing proof of the surgery to the shelter and receive $20 cash back. This offer is limited to the first 50 people who pick up coupons at the shelter; limit of one coupon per family; surgery must be done by May 31, 2007.

A special program is also under way to help dog owners defray the cost of having their animals altered. This program has been made possible by a grant received by the Payson Humane Society and is only available for a limited time. The amount of assistance available is dependent upon financial need and size of the dog.

In addition to the programs listed above, the Payson Humane Society has made arrangements for a low-cost spay/neuter clinic to come to Payson March 29.

For more information on any of these programs, please call the shelter at 474-5590 or visit them at 812 S. McLane Road. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except Sunday and Wednesday.
