On Valentine's Day, we woke up to snow.
It was picture perfect here in Christopher Creek. The trees were covered with the pretty white stuff. Hopefully all this moisture will keep us from fire danger this summer.

Ladies don't forget the Annual Ladies Pajama Party scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23. I happen to know there will be some ladies present who you haven't seen in awhile, but I am keeping it a secret.
Anyone who has never been to one of these parties just needs to show up at Karen Thorton's place in your favorite PJ's and slippers. She lives on Columbine, in the second house from the car wash.
According to Jim Oliver, president of the fire board at Monday night's meeting the board signed a resolution to join the fire district merger study group.
County Supervisor Tommie Cline was not present at the meeting, but her administrative assistant Jo Johnson was present on her behalf. The county made an offer of $50,000 matching funds for the Christopher/Kohl's Fire District to clear urban wild land interfacing around the communities of the district. The district will have to raise $50,000 to get the money.
