The new Payson Unified School District superintendent will be making more than his predecessor.
Casey O'Brien, who was named the new superintendent Monday, will earn a base salary of $95,000 as well as another $31,636 for insurance, retirement, Social Security and travel expenses.
Outgoing PUSD Superintendent Sue Myers is earning a base salary of $88,400 this year.
Myers is also receiving another $26,207 that is going toward insurance, retirement and Social Security.
O'Brien, a former assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in the Nogales School District, is scheduled to take over for Myers July 1.
