Kenneth Guy Beedle died in Payson at the age of 93.
A resident of Young for more than 30 years, and an Arizonan for 78 years, Mr. Beedle was born in Progresso, N. M.
He grew up in Miami, Ariz. and was a graduate of Miami High School. He was warehouse foreman for the Inspiration Copper Company and Cyprus Mining Company. Mr. Beedle was a bishop at the Latter-day Saints Church in Claypool and Young, and a former member of the High Council and Stake President. A volunteer firefighter in Claypool and Young, Mr. Beedle aided in starting the Young Fire Department, Young Medical Center, Young Community Center, Young LDS Church and Young Rodeo Grounds. A member of the Miami and Pinal Mountain Elks, he also loved to garden, bowl and hunt.
Mr. Beedle is survived by his wife, Beth Beedle of Young; daughters, Joyce (Jack) Warter of Claypool and Pattie (Wally) Place of Apache Junction; son, Chester (Sandy) Beedle of Happy Valley, Calif.; and stepsons, Jim (Darlene) Harris of Scottsdale and Ralph Harris of Little Acres, Ariz. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Young Community Center in Young, Ariz., with the service beginning there at 11 a.m. Mr. Beedle will be interred at the Young Cemetery in Young.
