National Bank of Arizona completed its merger with The Stockmen's Bank on Feb. 20, adding 22 Arizona branches and more than 300 employees.
Payson customers should experience little change and a smooth transition, said Brent Cannon, regional president, National Bank of Arizona.
Although the two Payson locations will consolidate into one office at National Bank of Arizona's building located at the corner of Highway 87 and Main Street, National Bank of Arizona is retaining all Stockmen's Bank employees in the region.
The merger allows National Bank to offer customers the best services of both banks, such as online banking, expanded loan offerings and a commitment to personalized hometown service, Cannon said.
The most visible change will be the new National Bank of Arizona signs.
Installation of the new NBA signs at the old Stockmen's branches began Feb. 20.
"This merger strengthens our bank's presence in this key community.
"Our customers come first and they will still be able to walk into their local branch and find the same friendly faces and excellent service they have come to expect," Cannon said.
"We are committed to operating a locally managed bank that responds quickly to our customers' needs."
The merger solidifies NBA's position as the state's fourth-largest bank.
It now employs about 1,400 people in 54 Arizona communities.
