A four-vehicle accident at about 1 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Highways 87 and 260 backed up traffic in all four directions and sent three people to the Payson Regional Medical Center.
According to police, a 2005 Chrysler was traveling northbound on the Beeline Highway when a 2001 maroon Chevrolet S-10 attempted to make a left onto Highway 87 from Highway 260 in front of the Chrysler, resulting in a collision. This collision resulted in the S-10 striking a 1984 Ford pickup, which caused the pickup to collide with a green 1999 Chevrolet.
The last two cars, according to police, were making left-hand turns onto the Beeline Highway.
The drivers of the Ford pickup, Chrysler and S-10 were taken to PRMC with injuries. Names of the drivers and injuries were not known at press time.
