There is a new salon in Payson specializing in manicures and pedicures, along with waxing. Paradise Nails & Spa is located on the east side of Payson Village (between Bashas' and Corral West Ranchwear). The shop is managed by Tom Nguyen, with technicians Jennie Pham and Tina Tran.
Between them, the trio has almost a dozen years of experience in the business. Nguyen comes from Mesa, where he lived for two years before moving to Payson to open the shop for his uncle, Nam Nguyen, who has a similar business in the Valley.
Pham is from Southern California and Tran is from South Carolina.
"Tom's uncle came up here and really liked the area, so he decided to open a shop here," said Pham.
Paradise Nails and Spa opened Dec. 9. The services offered include water manicures, a variety of acrylic nail treatments, light concept gel nail treatments, three different pedicures including a classic spa pedicure, Paradise deluxe pedicure and Paradise 5 Star Deluxe Pedicure, a special combination manicure and classic pedicure, waxing, an assortment of add-on services, plus "Kids Care" -- providing manicures, pedicures and polish changes from children 11 and under.
The salon features the premium products: OPI, Creative Nail Design and IBD Gel.
