Thomas W. Fisher, of Payson died Jan. 3, 2007 in Payson. He was 78.
Mr. Fisher was born on Aug. 28, 1928 in Greenup, Ill. and later moved to Indianapolis, Ind.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and returned to Indianapolis to marry his sweetheart, JoAnn. He then pursued his lifetime vocation as an aircraft mechanic.
The Fishers retired to Payson in 1989, where they enjoyed hunting, fishing and were active members of the Elks Club, the American Legion and the Campers Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Fisher, his mother, Fannie McCullough Fisher and his grandson, William Allen Cole Fisher.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, JoAnn, two children, Richard Fisher of Buckeye, Ariz. and Laura Wilhelm of Minneapolis, Minn., three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Crossroads Church, 114 East Cedar Lane, Payson.
