A 35-year-old man was arrested by the Payson Police Department last week for allegedly providing drugs to three teenagers and for having inappropriate relations with one of them.
The man, according to Payson Police Commander Don Engler, knew the mother of one of the three girls and invited the teens, ages 14, 16 and 17, to a motel room to use methamphetamine.
During the course of the alleged drug use, the Payson man allegedly had some form of sexual contact with the 14-year-old.
Engler said the alleged incident came to light when the mother of the 17-year-old became concerned the next morning because she had not seen her daughter all night.
After the 17-year-old came back home, she told her mother what had allegedly occurred.
When police went to the motel room, neither the man nor any of the teenagers were still there.
Police later located the man Jan. 3 and arrested him on charges of involving or using a minor in drug offenses and sexual conduct with a minor.
The case against the man went to the grand jury Wednesday, and County Attorney Daisy Flores said she cannot release the charges that could be filed or are pending against him at this time.
Flores added that the man has bonded out of jail.
