Sarah Elizabeth Salwitz, daughter of Georgia Ann and Michael T. Salwitz, died unexpectedly in her sleep early Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007.
She was born Aug. 14, 1976 in Columbus, Ohio and moved with her parents to Payson in 1982.
Miss Salwitz completed elementary, middle and high school in Payson. After graduation from Payson High School in 1994, she went to California where she remained for about a year before returning to Arizona to begin college.
She made her home in Phoenix for eight years, returning to Payson in 2003. She lived with her parents and worked for several area restaurants, most recently Chili's where she was anticipating a new position as a corporate trainer.
Miss Salwitz is survived by her parents; a sister Robbin (Steven) Hastings; niece, Nicole Marie and nephews, Kurt Michael and Mark Steven, all of Bellevue, Wash.; her grandmother, Helen Hill of Payson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and Dustin Brown of Payson.
A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church of Payson at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13. A viewing will be held at Messinger Payson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12.
Memorial donations in Sarah Salwitz's name may be made to the Payson Humane Society.
