Volunteers Available To Speak About Vision Loss

Sun Sounds of Arizona, a special radio station for people who have lost the ability to read printed materials, has put together a volunteer Speakers Bureau to educate the public and advocate on behalf of our listeners.

Sun Sounds is a free radio service for people who experience vision loss, severe dyslexia, or another condition which affects their ability to read printed materials.

Volunteers read the local news, magazines, grocery ads, and specialty programming, on air.

Now volunteers will also speak to service clubs, church groups, low vision support groups, and other community groups, about vision loss, Sun Sounds' service, and issues that affect our listeners.

If your group is interested in hosting a speaker, contact the Outreach Coordinator, Sharon at (928) 779-1775 or Sharon. Tewksbury-Bloom@riomail.maricopa.edu.
