Bryndee Hall took home ribbons and a cash prize from this weekend's Junior rodeo, held in Buckeye.
She was one of four Payson girls who placed in the competition.
Lexi Ward, 3, entered her very first junior rodeo and competed in barrels, poles, goat tail pull and flag race. Ward competed in the Peewee Division on her horses, Silver and Speck. Ward is the daughter of Andy and Megan Ward. Ward's sister, Kara, a second-grader at Pine School, competed in the junior girls division in barrels, ribbon roping, breakaway and poles. Kara received fourth place on the poles in the second round.
Brylee Hall, 8, also competed in the junior girls division and was entered in goat tying, poles and barrels. Hall placed fifth in the second round of the barrel race. Hall was named the All-Around Cowgirl in the Peewee Division after having a winning weekend.
On Saturday, Bryndee Hall won all five of her events, which were dummy roping, barrels, poles, flag race and goat tail pull. On Sunday, Bryndee placed second in the pole bending and again won the dummy roping, goat tail pull and barrel racing. Bryndee rode her horses, Squeaky, Blue and Pepe, to win the title and various prizes. Bryndee is the daughter of Brian and Lani Hall and is a first-grader at Frontier Elementary School.
