Kenneth B. Savage, 85, died June 29, 2007 at Rim Country Health and Retirement Center.
He was born in Woodside, N.Y. and spent his childhood and early adulthood in Lindenhurst, N.Y. and Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Mr. Savage served in the Army Signal Corps in the South Pacific from 1939 to 1945 in World War II. In 1962 he moved his family to Tempe. In 1982, he retired from cabinet making and moved to Whispering Pines, near Payson. A 20-year member of the Whispering Pines Volunteer Fire Department, he enjoyed retirement until Parkinson's disease overtook him.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle; two sons, Gary (Nina) and Cliff (Christine); four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the local hospice program or to the Parkinson's Disease Center.
