Back in December, your paper ran an article regarding our granddaughter, Mila Phillips, who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. The outpouring of love and support from the community was incredible.

Our sweet Mila passed away on Monday, June 18, and her funeral service was held Friday, June 22. Mila was just 2-1/2 years old. She taught us and all those who knew her the most valuable lessons of life: 1) To love one another, and 2) Attitude is everything. She blessed our family's lives for months longer than we thought we would have her. She was in a hospice care home with her parents by her side and passed peacefully. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the many people who have been there for us and her parents as we cared for her.
