To note that the Rim Country has many clubs and service organizations would be an understatement. To single out some that are just for seniors would be ridiculous. The following is simply a list of clubs whose primary purpose is social, when they meet and why.
Classic Auto Club
The Rim Country Classic Auto Club meets at 6:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month at Mazatzal Casino's entertainment room.
Payson Womans Club
Payson Womans Club meets at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Womans Club building, 510 W. Main St. We would like to invite all ladies to join us.

Strawberry Patchers
The Strawberry Patchers, a chapter member of Arizona Quilt Guild, meets at 9 a.m. the first and third Thursday of every month in the Kiwanis room of the Pine Cultural Center.

Payson Horseman's Association
Payson Horseman's Association meets at 7 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month at Tiny's Restaurant on East Highway 260.
We cover all disciplines, including dressage, jumping, driving, endurance and trail -- competitive as well as just for fun.
We get together for rides, and to provide education on various aspects of owning a horse, mule or donkey.

German-American Club
The German-American club meets the third Monday of every month at Tiny's Restaurant. Dinner is at 6 p.m. and the meeting is at 7 p.m.

Payson Rimstones Rock Club
Do rocks, minerals and fossils interest you? We have an annual Gem and Mineral Show. Members do wire wrapping and lapidary work and will speak to schools and clubs about our hobby.
Meetings are held at 3:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of every month at Payson Public Library. Families and visitors are always welcome.

Rim Country Singles
The Rim Country Singles social group plans an event calendar every month. Activities include movie day, hiking, game day and a monthly special event, as well as dining out, and more.
The group has a dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at Tiny's Restaurant.

Creative Conversations
Community Presbyterian Church sponsors a monthly gathering of women interested in getting to know one another while creating hand-made items of their choice. The gathering is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month in the church lounge. Bring your handiwork along and enjoy the company of women of like interests while we visit and share our talents.

Veterans of Foreign Wars
The Veterans of Foreign Wars meet at 6 p.m. the first Tuesday of every month at the American Legion Hall. All veterans are invited. For information, call (928) 474-3486.
Friendship Bible Coffee
Friendship Bible Coffee meets from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday at Roadrunner Espresso. Be part of drawing closer to God and knowing Him in a deeper, more personal way by being part of our Friendship Bible Coffee and Study. We offer a warm and loving group of ladies to support you and become friends. Come be challenged by God's word and encouraged in the lessons that teach life-application of biblical truths.
Rim Country Toastmasters
Need to give presentations to your boss or clients? Frightened to death to speak in public? You need Toastmasters and Toastmasters needs you! Weekly meetings are held from noon to 1 p.m. every Wednesday at the Central Arizona Board of Realtors meeting room, 600 E. Highway 260.

The International Police Association meets for breakfast at 9 a.m. Wednesdays at Tiny's. All active or retired law enforcement personnel are welcome.
American Legion
American Legion Tonto Rim Post 69 meets the first Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. We have a fish fry from noon until 8 p.m. every Friday at the American Legion, 709 E. Highway 260.

Support for Writers
Rim Country Writers is a group that supports both beginning and experienced writers. Members explore both nonfiction and fiction writing and discuss how to get work published. Meetings are from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at Fireside Espresso, 614 N. Beeline Highway in the Swiss Village.

Rim Country Flyers
The Rim Country Flyers meet at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of every month at the Crosswinds Restaurant. The club's purpose is to provide a social and technical atmosphere for interested people to meet and share ideas and an airfield to fly their model airplanes. Single Women of Payson
Women from 21 to 100+ years old are invited to come meet new friends at the next meeting of Single Women of Payson (SWOP). We meet from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday at the Oxbow on Main Street.

Tonto Rim Sports Club
The Tonto Rim Sports Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching shooting safety.
The club meets at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month in the American Legion building at 700 E. Highway 260. Membership is $35 per year, which allows daily access to the Jim Jones/Northern Gila County Shooting Range.

Marine Corps League
The Rim Country Detachment of the Marine Corps League meets the last Saturday of each month at the Payson Elks Lodge, BPOE No. 2154, 1206 N. Beeline Highway. Marines, former Marines and friends of Marines are encouraged to come and enjoy the social from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The meeting begins at 10 a.m.

The High Country Xeriscape Council of Arizona is looking for new members interested in garden strategies that produce a beautiful landscape with low-water use.
