Successful Auction Reinforces Belief In People Of Payson

Editor:

The Payson Humane Society recently held an auction to benefit our building fund. It was very gratifying to witness the number of people who pulled together to make this event a success.

Our thanks go out to "Miss Kitty" Lucek for arranging and allowing us to hold the auction at her home. She worked like a Trojan and was exceptionally gracious to all in attendance. Mark and Barbara Solom, thanks for the wonderful auction items. Ted Tatum was invaluable as our volunteer auctioneer.

Thank you to the Payson Roundup newspaper, KMOG, KRIM and KCMA for advertising the event on such short notice. We never could have done it without you.

A big thanks goes out to Lisa Boyle for not only working the auction, but for the enthusiasm she always shows, which is contagious. How can we ever thank Barbara and Ron Brenke for their generous donation?

Those in attendance were so wonderfully supportive and, despite the warm weather, hung in with us until the end. As a result, we raised $3,863.00 for our building fund.

This just reinforces my perception of the people of Payson. There is nothing we cannot achieve if we are of a mind to do so.

We are planning a number of fund-raising events throughout the year, so watch for them in the Roundup.
