Stephen Charles Golliglee, 65, died at his home in Payson, Ariz., Thursday, July 19, 2007.
Mr. Golliglee was born on Aug. 23, 1941 in Fremont, Neb. He attended Omaha Technical High School, until his enlistment in the U.S. Army, where he served from 1959 to 1962.
Retirement to Payson was in 1997, after 33 years with Northwest Airlines. Being active in the community, he served on the Gila County Sheriff's Posse since 2001; Payson Pro-Rodeo Committee for five years; Payson Horsemen's Association; Tonto Rim Sports Club and NRA; and Fraternal Order of the Elks for 37 years. In addition to horseback riding, he was a talented builder and pilot of radio control aircraft.
Mr. Golliglee is survived by his wife, Lynne Warren Golliglee, his daughter, Shaun Bittick and two grandchildren, Braden and Erin of Reno, Nev.; his daughter Sheelah and two grandchildren, Tianna and Tanner of Payson; two sisters, Judy Jessen of Fremont, Neb. and Katie Hansen of Schuyler, Neb. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Kent Warren and Reed Warren, both of Washington state.
A funeral service will be Thursday, July 26 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 511 S. St. Phillips St.; with viewing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and service to 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park.
