Jack Richard Nap, 86, died in Payson, July 24, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born July 11, 1921 in Amsterdam, Mont. to Nick and Marie Nap. He was a truck driver all his life and never lost his love for the open road. He and his wife, Ann, moved to Payson after spending many winters in Yuma, Ariz., In his retirement, Jack was a greeter at Wal-Mart and was a friend to everyone he met. He had a passion for life that was contagious and a love for traveling and seeing the country with Ann, every chance they got.
Mr. Nap is survived by his wife, Ann Nap of Payson; five sons, Nick (Jean) Nap, Terry (Marilyn) Nap, Dan (Anita) Nap, Jon (Eileen) Nap, Herb (Vicki) Nap; three daughters, Sally (Terry) Kaas, Loretta (Alan) Tuomala, Chris Barton; daughter-in-law Lois Nap; three stepsons, John Gorton, James (Paige) Gorton, Jerry Gorton; one stepdaughter, Julie (Robert) Lilly; 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wesley Nap, brother Herman Nap and sister Gertrude Kuipers.
He was a kind and gentle man who gave great hugs and will be missed by all who knew him. At his request, no services will be held.
