In a skit centering on Wild Bill Hickok, two members of the Arizona Gunslingers put on a mock fight in front of a western town front, set up in Hunt's Meadow.

Throngs of visitors from around the state attended the Strawberry Festival, which was held for the first time ever in Hunt's Meadow on Fossil Creek Road. A variety of food and craft vendors and a flea market captured the attention of all who attended.

Lip-smacking food items included brats, burgers, Navajo tacos, ice cream and, of course, strawberries -- some chocolate covered. Gold mining and a variety of other events were held for all ages.

The Pine Strawberry Business Community sponsored the event.
