Throngs of visitors from around the state attended the Strawberry Festival, which was held for the first time ever in Hunt's Meadow on Fossil Creek Road. A variety of food and craft vendors and a flea market captured the attention of all who attended.
Lip-smacking food items included brats, burgers, Navajo tacos, ice cream and, of course, strawberries -- some chocolate covered. Gold mining and a variety of other events were held for all ages.
The Pine Strawberry Business Community sponsored the event.
