First Friday Coverage Did Not Reflect Reality Of Event

In the June 5 issue of the Payson Roundup, there was an article about Main Street open late for First Friday on page 9A by intern, Leah Duran. I think you should take another look at this person's ability to write a story. This was such a negative approach to this event, which as a member of the Artists of the Rim Gallery, this was anything but true. She must not have even bothered to come into our gallery, as we had a tremendous crowd until shortly after 7 p.m. and sales between 5 and 7 p.m. were beyond our expectations.

Main Street needs all the positive input we can get and this kind of writing certainly does not help. Please do not send her down on Main Street unless she can learn to do better writing.
