Next Friday, July 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. is the third installment of the First Friday on Main Street Art and Antiques Walk. For the first time since its creation, the Town has approved on-street parking in the south (eastbound) lane for this event. Live music will be performed on the street by Joe Miracle and D.J. Craig. Classic cars will be on display. Pie by the slice, popcorn, nachos and drinks will be offered by the Payson's Womans Club.
The Kiwanis Club will be serving up hot dogs and brats. See's Chocolates can be bought from the Soroptimists.
Most businesses along Main Street will remain open until 8 p.m.
Ken Mooney of Bootleg Alley Antiques and Art said, "It's great to see so many strolling down Main Street while enjoying a beautiful evening with their friends. All are discovering the unique, interesting shops we now have on Payson's historic Main Street."
"It's nice to offer the townsfolk something to do on a Friday night that doesn't cost them a dime," said Brenda Baker of Artists of the Rim Gallery. "It's just a pleasant way to spend a Friday night."
