Thomas L. Crom, Jr. formerly of Payson, died at his home in Issaquah, Wash. Tuesday, June 19, 2007. He was 75 years old and born in Pierce, Colo. to Elsie and Thomas Crom on Nov. 29, 1931.
He was a former Marine and a Mason. Mr. Crom was a superintendent at the Naval Repair facilities in Long Beach, Calif., as well as Subic Bay, Philippines and worked for the Navy department for more than 20 years. He retired to Payson in 1979 and moved to Washington in 2006.
Mr. Crom was a devoted husband and father. Among his many interests were woodcarving, at which he was a master and computers. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and a good cigar.
He is survived by his second wife Elizabeth Crom. His first wife Joyce died in Payson in 1995.
Mr. Crom is also survived by son Thomas (S. Annie) Crom III and their six children, all residents of Payson); daughter Stephanie Crom of Tempe; as well as one grandchild in Washington.
A memorial service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Maple Valley, Wash.
