Christian School Thankful To Donors

Payson Community Christian School (PCCS) would like to thank the residents of Rim Country for their support of the school through contributions to the Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization. Due to privacy practices, the names of the individual donors are not revealed to the school, so we cannot thank people on an individual basis.

We do know the overall results and we would like to share them with the community so the donors can see the blessing that came to the school through their efforts.

In 2005, the school received about $77,000 through the tuition organization. For 2006, the donations increased to more than $130,000. The total number of donors increased from 141 to 222. The mass mailing to Rim Country residents received a response from 26 new donors. The rest of the new donors responded to the newspaper ad or the informational announcements made at several of the area churches.

These wonderful results, in addition to the increased giving to the Credit for Kids program in the local public schools, once again show that Rim Country residents do care about the welfare and education of their young people. The possibility of keeping up to $1,400 of our Arizona state tax liability (for married couple filing jointly) in our local schools is an opportunity more and more people are using for the benefit of many. We at PCCS are thankful for the increase of new donors and dollars given to our school.
