I enjoyed Noble Collins' recent column about pennies very much. In response, I thought I would share my penny theory. My mother passed away in 1997 at age 70 -- way too young -- and I miss her every day, as anyone would. Whenever I see a penny on the street, I always pick it up and think that it is her sending me a sign that she is thinking about me.
It is a very comforting exercise.
Keep up the good work, Noble.
