Kmog Owner Injured In Motorcycle Accident

The majority owner of KMOG radio in Payson was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Monday afternoon.

According to Payson Police Commander Don Engler, Mike Farrell, 65, was riding his motorcycle in Star Valley westbound on Highway 260, when a 2000 Toyota pickup driven by Dale Symes, 66, pulled out in front of him from the Circle K parking lot.

Farrell's motorcycle hit the car and he was thrown over the handlebars.

Blaine Kimball, general manager of KMOG, said Farrell suffered a broken femur, broken shoulder, eight broken ribs, a broken thumb and broken bones in his back.

Farrell was airlifted to Maricopa Medical Center.

Kimball said the radio owner will be at the hospital for a while.

Symes was cited for failure to yield from a highway or private drive.
