Patricia M. Sanders, 74, died March 3, 2007 at RTA Hospice, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born Feb. 26, 1933.
She volunteered her services to the Payson Art League, Womans Club and various church activities. She was a member of the Humane Society, Professional Secretaries International and became an active volunteer at Payson Care Center while caring for her mother, Laurene Bruder, until her passing in May 2005.
Mrs. Sanders was considered by many to be "the fastest and most accurate typist in the West" and had a great love of theater and the arts, volunteering at Chimera Theater in St. Paul and most recently, with the Payson Art League. She enjoyed being an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and appreciated the congregation's friendship and support.
She is survived by her daughter's family, Pam, Ross and granddaughter, Claire; her son and his wife, Craig and Holly Sanders; her sister's family, Jackie Breger; three nieces, Joyce, Karen and Gayle; five nephews, Mark, Roy, Guy, Paul and Allen; and 12 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her father, Vernon, mother, Laurene and nephew, Donn.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. March 22 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Easy St. in Payson. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society or RTA Hospice.
