The Payson Men's Golf Association has a tee time scheduled for Wednesday morning, officially kicking off another season of play.
The inaugural 18-hole tournament at the Payson Golf Course will be the first in an eight-month season for the association.
The group has 100 official members who meet Wednesdays, usually at the Payson Golf Course, for tournaments, according to publicity chairman Ross Robertson.
Tomorrow's tournament, featuring 48 PMGA members, is a four-man scramble -- all four members of a team tee off and the best-situated ball is where each player continues the hole.
Margie Everett of the Payson Golf Course said the tournament also includes other mini-competitions, such as closest to the pin for prize money.
The best score among the four-man teams will win prize money to the golf course gift shop, she said.
The PMGA is open to anyone. There are yearly dues as well as an application to join, Robertson said.
Anyone interested in the PMGA may contact Robertson at (928) 472-8548 for more information.
