Special music program set

Some very special music will be presented for local residents at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at Mount Cross Lutheran Church in Payson. The Rancher Choir from Rainbow Acres will be performing.

Rainbow Acres is a faith-based assisted-living facility for adults with developmental disabilities, and is located in Camp Verde. Rainbow refers to its residents as "ranchers" to denote that they are individuals worthy of respect and love.

The Rainbow Acres Rancher Choir is being brought to Payson by Beyond Limits, a nonprofit, interdenominational ministry dedicated to assisting adults with developmental disabilities find new opportunities to participate in Christ-centered activities, which encourage them to grow in their knowledge and love of God.

Mount Cross Lutheran Church is located at 601 E. Highway 260. There is no charge for this event.

Award-winning group performs

The First Southern Baptist Church of Payson is hosting an evening of music with The Imperials at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 12.

The quartet is a four-time Grammy winner, a 17-time Dove winner and a Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee.

There will be no charge for the performance, but free will offerings are welcome.

New United Church of Christ branch forming in Payson

Local members of the United Church of Christ wish to invite anyone interested in starting a UCC church here in Payson to come to a meeting on either April 15 or April 22, at 3 p.m. All are welcome in this fellowship of love.
